1/7/2023 0 Comments Hdr 4k demoI'm sure it's still a fantastic movie to experience in higher resolution along with HDR lighting. I just want you to be aware that it's upscaled 4K and not native 4K. I'm not saying Mad Max isn't a good option here, or that it isn't worth owning. Mad Max's review states that the HDR implementation is superb, but it's often mentioned in the review's on other 4K blu-ray movies that the 2K source upscaled to 4K does not offer a big difference in fidelity, so be careful what movies you are spending extra money on to get the "4K" version of. Whenever I consider purchasing a 4K blu-ray I go check the review out first to make sure it's worth the upgrade over standard blu-ray. A shock to me is how many of the 4K movies are upscaled right now, and very few are native 4K. Ī couple people mention Mad Max, but according to 's review of the 4K movie, it's only upscaled to 4K. A fair portion of the 4k UHD demo's on youtube look pretty good. I don't know if this video is in HDR, but I like to show people this clip from YouTube for showing off 4K video. In my experience, most 4K HDR demo material on YouTube is of pretty excellent quality, which I can confirm after extensively using that to 'demo' my new B9 to myself.
